Create your happy place

Creating your happy place

Right now, you may like me, you may feel a bit overwhelmed at times with all the  different stories and negative news  around and the uncertainties of life. It is during these times that we need to create our won happy place in our homes and using our imagination and all our senses we can spend time their to pause, unwind, relax and take in those feel good hormones.

I have created my own happy space my getting the backdrop of a beach scene, and I also put one of those sofas that can also be a bed. I then lie on my chair, with some lovely relaxing music in the background, as I listen and imagine myself having a wonderful time in the Island.

My Happy Outdoor place

Our Local Promenade –  When I go to our local promenade, I feel very relaxed as I can sit down, watch the boats go by and as I watch the river,  I spend time imagine myself on a boat going on a cruise to different parts of the world where I meet new people, have new experiences and just have fun. I can also feed the ducks, and make new friends as most times people will just come and sit next to me and start to chat.

I love spending time meditating by focusing on the waterfall and taking in the sounds it makes, as this helps to clear my mind,

How to be a Happiness Spreader.

Why I became a happiness spreader

Their was a time in my life when i lost my zeal for life as a result of my divorce and at about the same time I was made redundant, I had so much debts and was finding it  hard to cope as a single parent. Even though I had friends and  families who could have helped me, I felt very sad and embarrassed. It took me time to sum up the courage to ask for help and when I did, it was the beginning of a beautiful journey.

I decided in 2009 to really focus on helping myself and others to be happier. As a happiness spreader  I want to help give hope and encouragement to others in a world which at times can be full of so much negativity. I am on a mission to recruit as many happiness spreaders as I can.

Celebrate another day being alive

Despite all the uncertainties of life, it is a blessing to wake up and see another day. It is also time to think about those our loved once who are no longer with us, and cherish the memories we shared.

I am at a good stage in my life right now, I don’t have all I want, but I have all I need. I am content and make the most of life as it is, and I hope you too will have the strength and courage to take one day at time.

Here are some of my daily affirmations I say out loud every morning, I have them also printed on my way as a daily reminder. Please take care of you, stay positive and keep smiling.

Quick tips for today

  1. Do whatever is necessary to let yourself be happy. Give yourself permission to pursue your own happiness.
  2. Stay connected with friends and family
  3. Express how you feel and don’t bottle up your emotions.
  4. Stop working too hard at a job that is not fulling – find a way to make the job interesting or plan to leave or have other interesting hobbies that you can focus when you are away from your job.
  5. Be true to yourself and not what others expect of you. Let the haters hate and the doubters doubt.
  6. Share the love, and encourage someone today, give the a reason to smile.
  7. Ask for help and don’t suffer in silence

How to never give up #KeepHopeAlive #NeverGiveUpDay

Today is never give up day. check out more about this day here https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/never-give-up-day/

This day  is about motivating and inspiring ourselves and others for never giving up and reaching our goals. It is also time for us to  also  support those who are still trying to achieve their goals and have not quite got there yet.

As you focus on achieving your goals, their will be times when you feel frustrated and fed up because you can’t see the results of your hard work; but I want to encourage you to stay focussed and be positive.

Instead of giving up Take a pause –. Sometimes, pausing and taking a step back can be exactly what you need to give you a brand new perspective on things and to find the wisdom and strength you need for the next steps.

Motivate yourself –Look for ways to motivate yourself that works for you. I get a lot of motivation from reading personal stories about individuals who never gave up despite the challenges and setbacks they face. I also set my daily intentions of things I will do that will move me close to my goals.

Surround yourself with people who are resilient – Jim Rohn once said that we are the average of the five individuals we spend the majority of our time with.  If you spend your time with five people who are resilient and positive, you will being to feel that way too and will help make a big difference in your life. I do this by attending regular business networks, following inspirational individuals and engaging in conversation with them, I also have a core network of people who I meet once a month and we encourage and support each other.

Choose to be positive – It pays to be positive and focus on the good things that are around you especially in the current climate of doom and gloom. You attract what you continue to focus on, so focus on the good you want to attract by using positive affirmations, setting your intentions each day, and visualise yourself having achieved your goals – focus on how you would feel and what achieving that goal would allow you to do.

Take a step every day towards your goal. Show up every day and even when the mountain seems too steep to climb, just take a small and simple step. When you string a lot of small steps together, you cover a lot of ground. A year from now you’ll look back in amazement at how far you’ve come.

Be honest with yourself –Be honest about how you feel, what you want, and who you are. Are you really doing all you can to achieve your goals? Do you do at least 3 things that will move your closer to your goals? Are you using your time wisely? Are their things that are distracting you that you should stop doing? What could you do if you knew you could not fail?

Remember time is passing by, you’ve got to keep going.

Do email me for free consultation on how  through my coaching, I can help you to keep going, stay motivated and keep hope alive.

Please help us fund our #HappyCommunityCar

I have this big dream of getting a happy bus which I can use as part of my mission of doing my bit to spread happiness and good vibes to as many people as I can. For now the dream is to get a happy community car which I can use to deliver food to those in need and gifts to people who will be nominated as a way of making them feel good and have a reason to smile.

. This need for the Happy Community Car has come because I am currently a volunteer driver delivering lunches and gifts to help those in need around the gravesham area. The residents of one of the sheltered housing complex, all say they look forward to me coming especially as I put on various bright costumes to cheer them up and they always wonder what I will have on the next day.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

My plan is to have my yellow car covered with smiley faces and other fun stickers so that as I drive around people can notice it and smile.. I will also deliver little treats, cards and inspirational messages to make people feel good.

I would really be happy if you could help me make my dreams become a reality by donating what you can towards The Happy Community Car.

Please donate here https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/happy-community-car-1
