How are your new year’s resolution going?
When we all started this year, a lot of us made wonderful resolutions and plans about things we will do to change our lives. The reality is that for some of us we are now celebrating the last day in January and we have ditched some of our plans! If you find yourself in this position, take heart, you are not alone. I am here to help you through the process and together we can “Make it Happen”
If you really want to achieve your goals in 2015, you really must try to develop the belief that you will achieve them, and are willing to take small daily actions to help you as well as not allowing temporary setbacks to put you off.
To start with, I want you to spend the next few days writing your answers to these questions.
What do I really want to happen in my life right now?
What is happening in my life right now to stop me from Achieving what I want?
What is stopping me doing what I know I need to do?
What things can I do to change the situation?
Which things can I do myself, where can I get help from?
Who do I know that has gone through this situation that can help me?
Why do I really want to achieve this goal?
Why do I believe I will achieve my goal?
What emotions do I want to be feeling to know I have achieved my goals
What will I do to celebrate my achievements?

Hello again, and welcome the final day of our 21 Days Diet, and I am so grateful and thankful that you have been part of it.
So right now, what colour is your happiness level?

IGROWS
The idea of The sadness diet© is for us to look at the things that make us sad, and together find ways to help us feel happier and have a reason to wake up each day with a smile. So on this journey, I have tried to Support, Motivate, Inspire, Love, and Encourage you.
The method I used to help us look at ways of being happier is the part of a coaching model “IGROWS” which I learnt as part of my Life Coaching course with the Coaching Academey .“IGROWS” mean (Issue, Goals, Reality, Options, Willingness and Smiles.
Tips to cope when you feel a bit sad
Acknowledge that you are sad – because life is full of challenges and its ok to be sad
Express your feelings of sadness – It is important that you express how you feel as it is all part of the journey towards happiness. So cry, scream etc it’s ok ( this too will pass away) and be patient that in time you will feel happier again.

If you are really feeling deeply sad or depressed, remember you are not alone, and if you feel like talking to someone there is the Samaritans, Mind, NHS Choices and similar organizations that can help you.
Before you go to bed each night just focus on things you are grateful for, think happy thoughts, play happy music so that you can go to bed feeling good and enjoying a good night’s sleep. ( See below on how to add the instant feel good factor to your day).
When you wake up each morning, take a deep breath, focus on grateful for, think happy thoughts, play happy music so that you can start your day with a smile and in a good mood. ( See below on how to add the instant feel good factor to your day)
Next Steps
Over the next few days, I want you to develop daily habits that will help you to cope with life’s unexpected events that make you sad. Refer back to the 21 days diet and decide which activities work best for you. Below is a suggestion of things you can do each day when you wake up, during the Day and before going to bed.
Instant Feel Good Factor
Find a quiet place
Sit down
Breathe in slowly and Breathe out Slowly ( do this a couple of times)

Say – I am so grateful and happy to be alive to see another day.

Feedback from yesterday
I hope that yesterday you were able to go over any days you have missed as well as writing down all the things that you are grateful and thankful for.
Today we look at the law of attraction
The law of attraction is the name given to the belief that “like attracts like” and that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, one can bring about positive or negative results. You see, if you want something to happen, such as you want a bike, don’t just say I want that bike, believe you are going to get that bike. Instead of telling yourself you want the bike, visualise yourself riding that bike. It doesn’t matter whether or not you know when you are going to receive it, just believe you’re going to get it and have no doubts about it. If you have any doubts, quickly change your thought pattern to the positive and focus on receiving or having what you want.
It worked for me
This year, one of my wish was to have a contract for training that would give me a certain amount of money which would help me to improve the quality of life for my children and I. I had no doubt that in time, it would happen. First thing in the morning and last thing at night, I would focus on this and I also was thankful and grateful to God for providing me with this. Within a week of this, I was offered a part time contract for even more that I expected
Practical steps to use the Law of Attraction
For this to work, you have to believe that it will work, as well as be prepared take the necessary actions everyday towards achieving what you want. To start with, make sure you have about 30 minutes and find somewhere comfortable and relaxing.
Relax your mind
Relax your mind by meditating for 5 to 10 minutes. Doing this will increase brain power and have your mind at that relaxed state. This step is optional but recommended
Be sure of what you want
Be sure about what you want and that is something you have strong enthusiasm for. It is best if you focus on one thing at a time. Try at first wishing for things that are easy and measurable then when your wish comes true you will know for sure you got what you wished for. This will build faith.
Ask and you will receive
Make your request to God, the Universe or whoever you believe in
Create a picture board (vision board) of what you want
Use pictures you may have or pictures from magazines a to help you see and feel what you want, look at that picture everyday (better to do this in the morning since this will help you to feel better throughout the day), and focus on feelings of happiness, excitement etc
Visualise (Imagine) that what you want is already yours – when you visualise, you have to do so in details. Example: If you’re wanting that Nintendo Wii, see yourself sitting down playing a game on it. See yourself feeling the controller, playing your favourite game(s), touching the console.
Focus on what you want
Focus as often as you can on what you DO want rather than on what you don’t want..
Write your wish down. Start with “I am so happy and grateful now that…” and finish the sentence (or paragraph) telling God/ Universe what it is that you want. Write it in the present tense as if you have it right now. Avoid negation terms. Every day until your wish comes true, close your eyes and imagine that what it feels like to have received what you want.
Feel it. This is where you have to feel the way you would feel once you have received what you want. You must act, speak, and think as if you are receiving it now.
Show gratitude.
Write down all the things you currently have and be grateful and thankful for them
Be grateful and thankful to for experiences you have had which though may have been painful, but when you look back, you realise they have made you a better person. Be Grateful and thankful that what you want to happen is going to happen.
Be Patient
Don’t look for what you asked for, be patient and don’t get upset if these things don’t happen immediately. Don’t stress the “how” of things. Just know that in time, things will happen and work out for the best.

Today, using our IGROWS model we will focus on our Goals (use of Affirmations)
Today, we will look at using positive affirmations to help us on our journey to a happier life. When you created your vision board yesterday, you may have focussed on a particular thing that you want to experience, Now it’s time to ad some positive words which will allow you to stay positive and focussed.
Affirmations are basically positive statements that you have to say with confidence, passion, enthusiasm, and belief that the statement is true for you. You need to keep repeating them on a regular basis.
Some Happiness Affirmations
- I go to bed with happiness every night
- I spring out of bed with joy, excitement and a positive attitude.
- My pleasing and joyful personality is contagious.
- I am open to giving and receiving happiness.
- For me, the future is always bright and happy. I focus on things I can change.
The power of affirmations
- When you write it, the magic begins.
- After you write it, you can start reading it.
- When you start reading it, you’ll be able to start saying it.
- When you start saying it, you start hearing it.
- When you start hearing it, you start to believe it.
- When you believe it, things begin to change.
- When things begin to change, you will understand. And believe.

Today’s Activity – So what you have to do, is to look at the goal you wanted to achieve in your vision board yesterday and then write down some positive affirmations to help bring your goal to life.

Summary of activities we completed yesterday (Day 1 dealing with the Issue)
Yesterday, the idea was for us to focus on one thing that made us sad but that we have control over and write down what we wanted to happen about it (Our goal)

Today, using our IGROWS model we will focus on our Goals still
Today, we will look at creating a vision board to help bring our goals alive and compiling some positive affirmations to go with our goals. A vision board is about using images and powerful words to make our goals real.
The idea behind this is that when you surround yourself with images of who you want to become, what you want to have, where you want to live, or where you want to vacation, your life changes to match those images and those desires.

Things you will need:
Poster Board, or Just Large A3 paper
Glue., Different Coloured Pens, A Happy Picture of yourself
Various Magazines or Actual pictures of some of the things you would like to achieve

Step 1:
Go through your magazines and looking through magazines and pulling out pictures or words or headlines that strike your fancy. Have fun with it. Make a big pile of images and phrases and words.
Step 2:
Go through the images and begin to lay your favourites on the board. As you lay the pictures on the board, you’ll get a sense how the board should be laid out. For instance, you might assign a theme to each corner of the board. Health, Job, Spirituality, Relationships, for instance. Or it may just be that the images want to go all over the place. Or you might want to fold the board into a book that tells a story.
Step 3:
Glue everything onto the board. Add writing if you want. You can paint on it, or write words with markers.
Step 4:
(optional, but powerful) Leave space in the very center of the vision board for a fantastic photo of yourself where you look radiant and happy. Paste yourself in the center of your board.

I can Blow a balloon is a short story written by Genny Jones AKA Confident Queen with the aim of teaching children aged 5-7 how to be confident and not give up when trying to do things.
What the story is about
The Story is about a young boy who could not blow a balloon and how Confident Queen teaches and equip him with a special Gift of Confidence box which has special things he uses to help him feel more confident to blow the balloon.

You are a lioness – Be strong and regain your strength

Over the last few month’s I have been inspired by a very wonderful lady Jackie Lloyd from City Praise centre and the amaze women events. I was blessed to meet her one day when I felt low and just needed someone to talk to. I really admired the warmth, love, advise and support she gave to me. It was so refreshing, and though when I went to her I felt weak and vulnerable, by the end of our discussion I felt strong and energised. I left with her words “remember you are a lioness”.
I just woke up this morning remembering her words “ you are a lioness” and came across this article below which I am sharing with you!
With the lioness energy within you, you will become a great provider, able to go out into the world, successfully meet the challenges of life and bring home the bounty for yourself and your loved ones. There is no need to worry about whether you will succeed, for you are the lioness.
The lioness will bring you the gift of perfect timing. She will teach you when to lie low and blend with the surroundings and when to leap out and go after what you desire. Your intuitive side will strengthen as you develop the skill of sensing what is around you and knowing exactly when to make your move.
The lioness is also very strong physically, fast and agile. Breathe in deeply and feel her power within you, healing you and bringing you physical strength.
And once home, let her teach you to relax completely, enjoying the company of others, nuzzling and purring as you build a community of safety and abundance. How blessed you are to be the lioness!
