Let’s put some colour and fun into #BlueMonday

This  middle Monday  of January according to researchers is Blue Monday, the most depressing day of the year which is  based on some scientific calculations which takes into account things like the weather, the fact that we are recovering from christmas,  worrying about at our debts from overspending at christmas  and now with COVID19, Lockdown and tiers.

As a happiness spreader, I really don’t like this idea of linking depression or sadness to a particular day. I want to encourage you instead to try and make it a habit of having a reason to smile each day. Start with being grateful and thankful you are alive to see another day.

How to put on your Crown of Smiles #BlueMonday

WHY I CREATED CROWN OF SMILES

I created the idea of Crown of Smiles after recovering from  a period when I hit rock bottom, and  lost my smile, self esteem, and confidence.  I was very sad and depressed and at times felt like given up hope as I could not see the light at the end of the tunnel!

 When i rebuilt my life, I decided to use my experiences to help others feel happier. Crown of Smiles is also the name of my self help practical book about being happy with tips to help you develop  your self belief, and  recognizing  that from adversity can come creativity, confidence and clarity.  How to put on your Crown of Smiles

untitled1.   You can either make a crown of smiles, or you could just imagine you have an invisible Crown of Smiles.

2.    As you put on your Crown of Smiles on your head, imagine you have a jar of happy oil which is being poured over your head.

3.   As the oil goes through every part of your body, from the top of your head to the sole of your feet, imagine your body tingling as you experience inner joy which lightens up your face with a beautiful smile.

3.  You can mow  start to move your body doing your happy dance as you say say “WooHoo BoomBoom I feel good”.

 

 

 

 

 

Feel Good Sessions

The aim of my “feel good sessions”  are to help as many people as I can to take time out of the challenges of life to just relax and focus on enjoying the present moment.

How long are the sessions?

The sessions can be for a minimum of 1 hour to a maximum of three hours.

What is involved in a feel good session?

The sessions include a combination of various activities which cover basics mindfulness meditation, laughter session, singing, dancing and craft related activity plus tips on how to cope with everyday life.

Who do we run sessions for?

Our sessions are customised to the needs of each group we work with, from children’s organisations to businesses!

How much does our session costs?

The cost of the sessions vary so it’s best for you to contact us for our charges

Keep calm and wake up early

Getting up early starts with making changes at night. Example, watching less TV, spending less time on social media etc and get to bed on time – or even ten minutes earlier, so that you can get up with ten minutes to spare in the morning. When you do this, you’ll be shocked at the difference it will make in your life as you spend the first 10 minutes of the morning focussing on things you want to achieve in life and working on developing daily habits which you can then help you to develop daily success habits.

Get clarity

When I have a challenge in my life, I find that I can get a better perspective of it, first thing in the morning when I have better mental clarity and fewer distractions. I have always been an early riser and my day usually start at 5am each morning. I guess it is because I really enjoy life and each day I feel each day is a gift.

Some ideas of how you could start your day!

  1. As soon as you wake up – Breathe in and out and be grateful and thankful you are still alive and you have a reason to smile
  2. Spend  a minute just listening and enjoying  the stillness of the morning and the sounds of nature,
  3. Pray for energy, strength and courage to face this day and pray for others
  4. Spend time day dreaming about the good experiences live has given you and will continue to give you.
  5. Write down all the things you would like to achieve in life
  6. For each one of the things you want to achieve, write down the obstacles that each one has.
  7. Spend time focussing on how you can try and overcome each obstacle as well as how you can get support to move forward
  8. Now you should have solutions to some of the obstacles
  9. Focus on just one of your goals and then create a plan, which includes things you can do daily to achieve your goals.
  10. Each day, try to do avoid distractions and do things which will help you to succeed. Join in and sing and dance to “ Wake up I feel happy boom boom, and now I am dancing like no one’s watching boom boom” than just spend a minute smiling (One minute smilence)

Now it’s your time to use this as a guide and plan that starting tomorrow you will start your day earlier so that you can fuel it with lots of energy, good vibes as you journey through life.
