How to be a Happiness Spreader.

Why I became a happiness spreader

Their was a time in my life when i lost my zeal for life as a result of my divorce and at about the same time I was made redundant, I had so much debts and was finding it  hard to cope as a single parent. Even though I had friends and  families who could have helped me, I felt very sad and embarrassed. It took me time to sum up the courage to ask for help and when I did, it was the beginning of a beautiful journey.

I decided in 2009 to really focus on helping myself and others to be happier. As a happiness spreader  I want to help give hope and encouragement to others in a world which at times can be full of so much negativity. I am on a mission to recruit as many happiness spreaders as I can.

Steps to make your dream come true #MakeYourDreamComeTrueDay

“Don’t let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use.”   Motivational speaker Earl Nightingale.

Over the last decade, though I have achieved a lot, I realised that I have also tried to work on too many ideas at a time and towards the later part of last year I felt exhausted and drained.

I took  a couple of days to review all the things I wanted to achieve and now I am, working on my 2 goals. I realise now that by me focusing on these two goals,  it will make a lot of my smaller goals and  dreams become a reality.

How you too can start this process

Get yourself a notebook to write down the answers to these questions:-

Firstly write down all you want to achieve and spend time to really focus on one or two of these goals over the next 3 months.

What is the 1 or 2  goal you want to work on?

Why do you you want to work on that goal?

How would you feel once you have achieved that goal?

Take Action

Research people  who have achieved your goal and make note of the things they have done and how they did it.

Write down your action plan broken down into little steps you will take each day towards achieving your goal.

Create a vision board using photos, words etc that will help you see your goal being accomplished.

Everyday  set your intention to do at least 3 things that will move you closer towards achieving your goals

Celebrate your little successes

Every morning

Spend a few minutes just being grateful for what you have achieved so far.

Review the 3 things you are going to do today

Spend a few minutes being thankful for all the people, resources and opportunities that are coming your way.

Every evening before you go to sleep

Spend a few minutes just being grateful for what you have achieved so far.

Spend a few minutes looking at your vision board or just imagine how your life would be once you have achieved your goal.

7 ways to deal with problems

We can’t go on in life pretending everything is ok  when in reality we have unresolved problems. Problems are part of life and sometimes a problem will keep resurfacing until we deal with it.

We typically react to a problem in four ways:

1) Flee it: we try to escape, but the problem always follows us

.

2) Forget it: we hope it will go away if we don’t think about it. But left alone, problems tend to get worse.

3) Fight it: what we resist persists. And problems are no exception.

4) Face it: we look at the issue realistically and deal with it

When trying to sort a problem, you  could:-

.1.First, ask yourself: is there really a problem here? …

2, Accept it …

3.Ask for help. .

4. Use 80 percent of your time to focus and find solutions. …

5. Break the problem down into smaller pieces. …

6.Find the opportunity and/or lesson within the problem.

7. Find out how people who have gone through a similar problems dealt with it.

I hope some of these tips help and if you need more help do contact me. Best wishes and I hope everything works out for you.

Questions to ask yourself when you when you feel a failure.

If we’re willing to view our failure in a positive light and to analyse how we can use what we’ve learnt in the future, the things we go through will enable us to grow stronger and wiser.

If you feel you have failed at something why not take a few minutes to answer these questions which I hope will help you and if you do need help do send me a message.

  1. What have I learned?
  2. Am I grateful for this experience?
  3. How can I turn it into success?
  4. Where do I go from here?
  5. Who else has failed like this, and how can they help me?
  6. How can my experience help others?
  7. Did I actually fail, or just fall short of an unrealistically high goal?
  8. What did I handle well about this experience?’

How to embrace your pain

The last few weeks have been so challenging for me. I had so many situations that got me crying and feeling sorry for myself. even though I am usually a positive person who encourages others to be positive.

Today, I sat down pondering on things, and as I went on my Facebook page, someone had sent me a link to this amazing video, which after i watched it inspired me so much that I had to share it with you here. I hope you too will be encouraged to wipe those tears, take one day at a tine, and stay positive.

When faced with obstacles, try saying this every day:_

Don’t waste your pain

We have all gone through painful situations in life, and though it may not have been pleasant we survived it and are still here. Now it’s time to use our pain to encourage and lift someone else who may be going through the same. #DontWasteYourPain

Don’t just go through your pain, grow through your pain.  Don’t waste your pain, but  use the experience to develop you and to help others who may be going through the same situation. There is a lesson in your pain, learn it and grow through it, don’t keep repeating the same mistake over and over again.

How to find your purpose in life again

If you woke up and  feel like you’ve lost your sense of purpose in life, and that’s its too late  to rebuild and re-create your life, I encourage you to take a deep breath in and release it out.

Stand up tall – even just for a second. Know that deep within your heart you will find the willpower and tenacity to face and embrace whatever it is you’re dealing with.

If you cannot find the way out of your situation, I urge you to try some of these tips:-

  • Share what you are going through with someone else
  • Search the internet and read about people who have gone through a similar situation but have managed to overcome things.
  • Write down all you are going through, and then write down what you would like to experience in your life right now.
  • Write down all the positive things that your are grateful for in your life right now,
  • Everyday, write down one or two things that you can do to help you change your situation and then commit to take action every day.
  • Pray for strength, and courage to take one day at a time

I know for sure, you can do this, and if you need some help do email me

Life is a gift never take it for granted #EnjoyYourLife

Dear friends and family, life is fragile. Let’s value, love, cherish and appreciate one another while we have the time and opportunity to do so. There comes a time in life when ALL we have is each other.

Kyrzayda Rodriguez, a popular Instagram fashion blogger from the Dominican Republic, died died few days ago after announcing her Stage 4 stomach Cancer. May re soul Rest In Perfect Peace.

Below are her words during her last days and it is very inspirational.

“I have a brand new car 🚗 parked outside that can’t do anything for me, I have all kinds of designers clothes, shoes and bags that can’t do anything for me, I have money in my account that can’t do anything for me, I have a big well furnished house that can’t do anything for me.

Look, I’m lying here in a twin size hospital bed; I can take a plane any day of the week if I like but that can’t do anything for me … So do not let anyone make you feel bad for the things you don’t have – but the things you have, be happy with those; if you have a roof over your head who cares what kind of furnitures is in it… the most important thing in life is LOVE. Lastly, make sure you enjoy the ones you love”. Kyrzayda Rodriguez RIP

Some people just don’t care.

Yesterday I woke up in my usual happy mood filled with positive vibes.  I went to get my train which though it was packed, I managed to get a sit between two people. A few minutes later I felt a bit unwell.

As I noticed  the passenger who sat next to me was getting off  the next stop ,I decided to slide to his sit as it meant I could lean my head against the glass partition. All of a sudden a lady just bashed in front of me and wanted to sit on the seat.

I explain to her that I needed to sit  on that particular seat so that I could rest my head on the  glass partition, she just gave me a dirty look, headphones in her ears,  eyes on her mobile phone she sat in the next seat next to me.  A few minutes later Started to feel unwell again and had to take my jacket off and fan myself. I put  my head on my hand.

When the train reached our destination I was unable to stand – this same woman  sitting next to  me, got up ignored me and still with headphones on and her face on her mobile got of the train.

Meanwhile  a man opposite me noticed me and  came round and asked if I  was ok, I explain I was feeling a bit unwell, he sat  next to me gave me some water to drink, and  another lady went to get a member of staff. Two of the other passengers started talking tome and expressed their disgust at the lady who sat next to me and completely ignored me.

I am just so glad that at least these good people cared enough to notice and help me especially the guy Mike from Gravesend who took time out to make sure I was ok.
