Set clear boundaries to help reduce stress

One of the main cause of my stress and anxiety in the past has been in setting clear boundaries and sticking to them, and even now I do find myself in situations when I say a bad YES to things I should have said a good NO to. I am getting their and continue to improve in this area of my life.


When we set out what we are comfortable with and what we are not, we protect ourselves from relationships that may cross certain boundaries; and we can be confident with what we can and will not allow into our life. This in turn can naturally help lower our stress level which is so important for our overall wellbeing and happiness.

4 tips to setting clear boundaries

  1. Be clear on what you will and will not tolerate
  2. Learn to say no without feeling guilty
  3. Know how far you can support someone to solve their problems without it causing you stress.
  4. Take time to pause and think before you commit to making key decisions.
