I had a lovely afternoon at the official opening of MsEarlyn’s Caribbean restaurant located at 32 Windmill Street DA12 1AS Gravesend, Kent.
We were welcomed in by wonderful sounds of Steel pan music which got my feet tapping and put me in the mood for the coming spring.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
We were the first once in the restaurant which was busy with the team of young men getting things ready. I was really impressed and surprised as the staff team was most young African Caribbean young men from the local schools and I knew a few of them as they are my son’s friends. I loved the bright colours, décor and space which made me feel very relaxed. The sitting arrangement is simple and comfortable.
ORDERING FOOD
Their was quite a large selection of Caribbean food to choose from, but I selected the £5 deal of curry goat, rice and peas and salad. I was impressed that I did not have to wait long and was very happy with the service.
It was really busy as their were people wanting takeaway and some wanted to sit down, but the team did their best to cope with the demands,.
CLIENTEL
I observed people from a wide variety of cultural background, and ages coming in and out at various intervals.
LOCATION
The restaurant is very accessible. Few minutes from Gravesend train station, near the town centre and there is a large car park near by which on Saturday’s you get the first two hour’s free, but free after 6pm each day.
