Feel good stuff for you do and avoid being blue on #BlueMonday

Although Monday  this mid time of January according to researchers is Blue Monday, the most depressing day of the year, knowing this we can spend this weekend planning how we are going to focus on being happy and sharing smiles with as many people as we can and be a Happiness Spreader


Here is my simple list of things you can  try – please feel free to email me your suggestions

As you go to bed on Sunday night, keep saying to yourself “Monday is going to be a very happy day” smile as you imagine all the wonderful things that are going to happen on Monday. Then go to sleep with a smile!


When you wake up in the morning, lie in bed for a few minutes and slowly breathe in and out and enjoy being alive. Then get up and walk around your home and just be grateful for all you have, life, family, roof over your head, electric, heating, food, etc. The more you are grateful the more life will give you experiences and people to be grateful for.



Stand still – Think happy thoughts whilst smiling for a minute (One Minute Smilence)

Stand in front of a mirror— Make some funny faces and Laugh till you can’t laugh any more!!


Create a Laughie

Research by University of Derby Online alumna Freda Gonot-Schoupinsky led to the Laughie, a new way of improving wellbeing by encouraging people to laugh.



As you go out now be prepared to share  your smiles with as many people as you can.


Wear something colourful for the day. You could even go to work in fancy dress!
