Managing stress is an essential part of our health and wellbeing. We cannot avoid stress as it is part of everyday life, what we can do is to have simple tools we can use that can help us. I created the One Minute Smilence and do this as part of my daily routine and whenever I feel stressed. So I share below how to do this. Do let me know how you get on.
Take time out and do your One Minute Smilence to relieve stress and feel good.
Happiness is not about permanent positivity or pretending things are fine. It’s about learning to cope well with whatever life throws at us.
You will need a blank paper plate and colouring pencils or markers. You also need something to time yourself for a minute.
Now you are ready
Sit down in a quiet place and be thankful that you are alive and think of things that make you smile
Get a paper plate and write down everything that makes you SMILE
Use pictures and images to help with this
When you have finished, set your timer for a minute
Now just spend a minute focussing on things that make you smile and keep smiling for a minute
After the minute has gone – just shout excitedly “ WooHoo”
